A vault, not a data broker.
Hundo holds your family’s Aadhaar, PPF, EPFO and bank records — so the honest question is is it safe? The short answer: your data stays in India, behind a lock only your family opens, and it is never sold to anyone. Here is exactly how.
Your data stays in India
Stored in Google Cloud’s Mumbai region (asia-south1). It does not leave the country in normal operation.
Passkey login, biometric lock
No password to phish. A face or fingerprint opens the app; a secure lock clears your session the moment you step away.
Aadhaar & PAN never reach the AI
Account numbers and government IDs are redacted before any request is sent to a model. The assistant helps without seeing them.
No ads. Never sold.
No advertising, no data broking. The vault is the product — your records are not for sale, to anyone.
One family, one vault
Each household’s data is walled off. Access is per-family — nobody outside your household sees a rupee or a paper.
Your portal passwords stay yours
Hundo never logs into your bank or EPFO. You capture once; there are no stored credentials to leak.
Your records stay in India.
Everything you capture is stored in Google Cloud’s asia-south1 region — the Mumbai datacentre. It is encrypted at rest and in transit, and in normal operation it never leaves the country. For a family’s government IDs and retirement records, keeping the data on Indian soil is not a footnote; it is the reason to trust the vault at all.
A lock only your family opens.
You sign in with a passkey — a face or fingerprint bound to your device, so there is no password to guess, reuse or phish. On top of that sits a biometric app-lock: even on an unlocked phone, opening Hundo asks for you. When it locks, it clears the session token from memory rather than just hiding the screen, so a lost or borrowed phone leaves nothing to resume.
The assistant never reads your Aadhaar.
Munshi can answer about your money and suggest reminders — but before any request leaves for an AI model, we redact the sensitive fields on our side. Aadhaar, PAN and account numbers are stripped and masked first, so the model helps with the shape of your finances without ever receiving the identifiers themselves. And Munshi only proposes; it never moves money or acts on its own.
Nothing to sell, no one to sell it to.
Hundo carries no ads and runs no data-broker business. We do not profile you for advertisers and we do not sell or share your records. Your data belongs to your family — the only person it is ever shown to is you.
Keep your family’s papers where only you can reach them.
Free during early access. We open families in small batches.
